social media is doing a great job of educating the masses on diversity ‘training’ of sorts—by inadvertently forcing many people to come to terms with their old ideas and preconceived notions about people of other races and backgrounds. The fact still remains however, [that] professionally, (and especially personally), we all still have a lot of work to do (and questions to ask ourselves) before we scold, hold contempt for, or sit others out in the dirt. Questions like: “Would I feel this way if all these people looked like me…or is it because they are who/what they are and don’t look like me?”
These are the tough questions we have to ask ourselves sometimes.
