Ole Trump had just the ticket to get his neck off the El Chapo block.
Oh say can you see by the dawn’s early light, oh so rudely he hailed presidential hopeful:
Senate Rep. John McCain’s position in this U.S of A’s armed forces in as low regard unfathomable that into the night his wig got split immensely.
In Ames, Iowa Saturday and among 10 GOP candidates at the annual Family Leadership Summit, republican mouthy Donald Trump did an awesome job of redirecting his foul statements about Mexican immigrants and proved he would even go so far as to insult a fellow republican all the way down to his stripes and to the point of describing the man as a “dummy.”
Arizona Sen. leader John McCain-a decorated war wet was described by the moderator (Republican pollster Frank Lutz) as “a war hero” to which Trump refuted the honor by stating “McCain isn’t a war hero because he was captured. I like people who aren’t captured.
It is widely known that John McCain spent more than five years as a prisoner of war following his plane being shot down while in combat in Vietnam.
Although Trump did not apologize for his statements, he added to his remarks by stating: “If a person is captured, they’re not a hero as far as I’m concerned. I don’t like the job John McCain is doing in the Senate because he is not taking care of our veterans.”
Obviously such statements would prompt one to ask him what, if any military service he has had, and to that answer: None.
Trump even speaks of his sticking and moving past being drafted like a slick businessman’s negotiating skills and ability to finagle like such is worthy of medals of honor and stripes alone-for effectively and successfully being able to shake having to be drafted into the armed forces) as he speaks of avoiding the Vietnam War via student deferments and a medical deferment. He adds: “I was not a big fan of the Vietnam war” (nor was he even so much as a protestor).
With all that being the case, Trump’s half-cocked statement regarding McCain did not go with scorn.
Gov. Rick Perry said Trump’s remarks only prove he is unfit to be commander-in-chief.”
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal added: “After Donald Trump spends six years in a POW camp, he can weigh in on John McCain’s service.”
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush noted: “Enough with the slanderous attacks. @SenJohnMcCain and all our veterans— particularly POWs have earned our respect and admiration.”
Clearly the real-estate mogul (slash) reality television star is entering this race as a wildcard who is using to his advantage: the game of social politics like played on his very own show while being aware that in this day an age, being popular for all the wrong of dense reasons can get you into the most undeserved of places and too, could win you the presidency of the United States.
Still, Republican some officials don’t take his run seriously while others fear that heading a third-party seat, Trump could thwart votes away from the eventual, hopeful Republican nominee altogether and ultimately cost the GOP the presidency.
With Trump having expressed to reporters that it was he who had the best chance of beating Hilary Clinton in a general election; perhaps thwarting GOP votes with his presence and pompous is his strategy to secure the win he feels he can secure.
When asked again about his recent comments on Mexican immigrants as rapists,” and “criminals” the pompous businessman asserted [he’s] “so proud of the fact that I got a dialogue started on illegal immigration.”
We’re guessing that pompous statement of his proving his stance on Mexican immigrants still pretty much hasn’t changed, in conjunction with his statement [about McCain]: “I like people who aren’t captured,” served as a shot at McCain [and El Chapo perhaps?].
Well with El Chapo having escaped his capture (and out here most wanted) Trump is playing game of “Catch Me If You Can” not only with him, but from the sounds of things: the GOP as well.
