- my health numbers
- keeping a cuff beneath a taut butt
and a
- flat tummy proportionate with my body frame
…as being essential to hold my body and core up and keep my health in check.
I don’t concern myself (or have any interest in) walking around with 48 inch hips—but with 10 inch waist. That’s just bizarre, for/to me.
I stick to me. The rest, for me, is just vanity and not all that essential to me (because, considering all the things I do in life), if I’m focusing past what holds my body up and healthy (core, butt, and numbers)-that tells me that’s all I have to focus on in my life, really. While that is good and a job and a lifestyle for some people (bodybuilders, trainers etc), in order to stick to “you,” you have to consider their lifestyle and focus has to be at “vanity” level (because that’s what they do in/for their life or for a living).
Until you get there, know what’s healthy for YOU (considering YOUR life and what you do in/for life and for a living).
Literally watching your health is necessary-even when not working out. I keep a Polar heart monitor on (the real kind-that straps across your front to back chest plate) even if I’m not working out to study what sudden, gradual or consistent moves I’m doing in a day does for my heart. I even pay attention to it during conversation, up to and including what I’m thinking about-so as to determine what makes my heart rate spike-do you? You should, you’ll notice the pattern and spikes your heart takes during basic, daily things you never think of without seeing those numbers and hearing those beeps reminding you that it’s monitoring your life line.
Believe it or not, when I talk to one person in particular, I notice my heart rate go up-just sitting. I often tell that person to text me. I’m on the go alot too, and even when I’m sitting, I’m still busy and pretty much prefer people text me either way (until I take a break and can talk/give my undivided attention). But either way, too, I almost always prefer that particular person text me (until we get together face to face).
At any rate.
