Steven Rodriquez a.k.a. “ASAPYams,” has reportedly passed away.
Although there are no details about the tragedy made public as yet, several members of ASAPYams’ Mob members have confirmed his death via social media.
The 26 year-old ASAP Mob founder [and Def Jam’s Rick Rubin look-a-like] has had ASAP tattooed on his forearm since the age of 17.
In conjunction with ASAP Bari Illz in 2007, he formed the Mob and met Rocky (ASAPRocky) in 2008.
Dreams in ink eventually became dreams brought to fruition, and by 2011 they inking major label deals.
The young mogul told the New York Times in 2013 “Rocky’s like Luke Skywalker and I’m Yoda.”
The ambitious, young mogul expressed “We wanted to become big but we didn’t want to do it by hopping on somebody else’s wave. We wanted to come in the game with our own wave.”
