A man now, all grown up now, and no longer the cookie-cutter teen heartthrob he was when he stepped onto the music scene, Bieber’s voice, body (and hairstyle) changed on us all-almost overnight!
Stepping up to do a make Calvin Klein ad (since the likes of Mark Wahlberg having done them) is like a right of passage-of sorts.
You gotta bring you’re A-game and V-line (torso) game…ya just do.
Well if you didn’t know already, Justin Bieber stepped into the ring to girl it a whirl. But take note of this: Although there have been many Calvin Klein ads since Walhberg, Wahlberg’s Calvin Klein ads have been so well documented (and etched in our minds) that it’s kind of hard to come behind him in some Calvin’s, Calvin briefs and a bare chest. It just is. He pretty much broke the mold on that.
Nick Jonas came through, however.
Although in a group (Jonas Brothers) still, just like Justin, Nick started out as that same traditional cookie-cutter teen heartthrob that suddenly turned into this buff man overnight-before we could blink, he was buff.
Nick took his pec to the pixels of Calvin Klein and came out just fine, even I was intrigued by these lil’ dimples down the crack of his toosh (that I’m still looking for the name of). I mean he was awesome in that ad!
Right of Passage: successful.
Well…the Biebs stepped up to the pixels and you can’t front-he was face, hair and body almighty. He did NOT disappoint!
He is HOT in that spread!!!
…But for someeeeeeeeeeeeeee reason, pop culture and the Internet are having a hard time embracing the Biebs’ growth from boy to man and practically demanded receipts—on the crouch of his ad pics!
Needless to say, the jokes + the before and after pics–complete with Photo shopped renditions [of model, Lara Stone in the ad with him], went viral, and Biebs has been the talk of the networks and sites ever since.
So last night on SNL, comedian Kate McKinnon (known for spoofing a dead-on Bieber anyways), showed us her rendition.
Here’s Justin’s trailer ad:
(If you know anything about me, you KNOW I think drumming is hot! So Justin was HOT to me! I enjoyed it-it was all that! Go JUSTIN!!!)
And well…here’s McKinnon’s.
