Shaq put that smack down on getting “The Shaunie Project” rollin.’
Before the timer could ring half past 24 hours since Other Side of the Fame broke the story to you that Shaq was ceasing to assist ex-wife Shaunie on “The Shaunie Project;” time ran out before the shot clock, and Shaq successfully blocked the effort in getting the ball rolling on the new reality show by close of yesterday’s business [Thursday, December 19, 2013].
Filming was set to begin just next month (January 2014) and despite Shaunie’s efforts to get a court order to permit her to allow her children to co-star (against Shaq’s wishes), Shaq’s long strong arm shook Shaunie down as he shook hands with the long arm of the law……….for now.
The 41-year old Hall of Fame basketball player who shares joint custody with Shaunie immediately jumped to action to block her efforts to allow to the kids to co-star in the show with her when he heard she secured the deal with VH1 to do it.
Shaunie wanted the judge to rule in her favor without a hearing.
Shaq’s lawyer (Laura Wesser, who represented Kim Kardashian in her divorce proceedings) could give two f—ks about Shaunie’s couple-week deadline to get this ruled on [in time for the filming]. She convinced the judge that there was no rush and a hearing would only be fair.
Obviously, that’s not good news to Shaunie who, as this reality of a plot thickens, has also alleged that Shaq initially gave her verbal consent and the green light to allow the kids to film *record scratch*……………………………………………..…………provided that she give a million dollar cut of the cash.
According to Shaunie, this whole reality show shot-blocking that Shaq is doing is out of spite (rather than “concern” for the welfare of the children—in protecting his children from the possible harm that he feels turning up for reality television will eventually happen in an effort to score ratings).
Shaunie says Shaq is just bitter at the fact that although he had a hot Grammy Award winning rap album…………………………….record scratch*……………………’way’min ‘way min………………………………..………… (just kidding).
…But all jokes aside.
Shaunie claims that Shaq is a merely being a big ole bitter ball-player of a dad who’s merely upset that he tried and failed a total of three times to do a reality show with the kids himself!
Sources close the Shaq’s camp say that is a bold-faced lie and asserts that if Shaq wanted a reality show, he’s certainly more marketable than Shaunie-therefore he could if he really wanted one.
Although marketability and who the world would care to see the reality [of] is in the eyes of the beholder–whether it be Shaq (monotone, serious, branded and rich from playing professional ball) and Shaunie (who’s already branded herself in the animated and often times out of control reality show circuit); Shaq could very well argue his innocence on the million dollar bribe [as claimed by Shaunie].
According to Shaunie, who gets no alimony from Shaq, she needs the money from the show to pay her bills (alongside the $100,000.00 per month she receives in child support for their four children).
Shaunie asserts: don’t let the doting dad in these pics fool you, he could give two f—ks about those kids and only sees them about 8 to 10 times yearly.

According to Shaq’s sources-Shaunie is lying about that, he sees his kids (quote) “plenty” (unquote) and is very involved in their education.

We at Other Side of the Fame will have to keep you in the paint on this tug of war and how this January will, or will not work out for Shaunie because as filming is set to begin first week in January yet, the hearing on her getting permission from the courts to step in and block Shaq……………………………………………………. isn’t until the end of January.
