This song reminds me SO much of my son who was a little boy at the time (when this song was out). He used to l.o.v.e this song and wanted to sing it to me-like him, SO bad. We would be in the car playing it (Lately) and my other jam (“Sweet Lady”)–just rocking out. My baby was gonna die trying to slide into that chorus (of “Lately”): “hhhhhhhhhhhhhhave I told you I loved, youuuuuu.”
I would be like: “You ‘gon get baby. You really are.”
