what’s next to tell is on a whole new level of crazy.
The cop (again, whose been in possession of the knife since 1998) retired from the LAPD in late January (this year) confessed to a friend that worked in the robber and homicide division and told the friend he was going to get the knife framed to hang on his wall. To add insult to injury crazy to insane, the reason he told the friend was because he wanted the friend to get the departmental record for the case (Ronald Goldman and Nicole-Brown Simpson) because he wanted to get the case number engraved onto the frame holding the knife (to look pretty while hanging on his wall).
Angry, the friend wasted no time to tell his superiors and demanded the knife be turned over. The traffic cop did [turn it over].
Reportedly, the knife is currently being tested for fingerprints, DNA and other historical biological evidence as, to the naked eye over 20 years later, the rust can’t be determined as being old blood or rust.
For obvious security reasons, logged as “top secret” right now (right next to the buried case); with OJ having been found “not guilty” (versus “innocent”) this investigation can in literal dubious deed be looked at for PR and wastes of time. Because by due process of law [and Double Jeopardy: law forbidding being retried for same crime], Simpson cannot be prosecuted or retried anyways, regardless.
Sighs.
Well…I guess…with OJ still being locked up-rotting in jail and (since debuting in February-last month) Hollywood’s out here in these sensational streets dramatizing the story on Fox’s FX channel on a weekly basis…these wink dramatic coincidences should good a well warrant a renewal for season 2 of The People Versus OJ Simpson since uh…OJ can’t be served with any [warrants].
