Although it seems like in just the few short years that Taylor Swift has been on the scene, she’s growing up right before our very own eyes-still (it seems), she’s young enough—to not be old enough to be giving advice on love, relationship, and things of that nature.
But do you listen to the lyrics of that girl’s catalog?
(In case you didn’t know, Taylor writes all her own songs by the way-so you know it comes straight from her own mind, and heart) and if you listen to the words of her songs, you will know just the opposite: She has experienced the same love, loss of love, things, and growing pangs that we all do.
As well, Taylor took the shy, withdrawn, Lorde (right under her wing) and opened the door to friendship—way before the media could convince the two pop starlets they were rivals. I like that.
Well take into consideration, a situation that just happened when Taylor Swift offered a word of advice (sound advice I might add) to young fan with a question about how she handle a situation involving a crush.
Hannah reached out to Taylor via her social media account seeking her advice on how to handle a crush-describing the object of her desire [as]: “a guy who’s sweet and charming and makes me laugh. A guy who said sorry for eating in front of me after finding out I had to skip breakfast…A guy who was my first best friend.”
In addition to those polite qualities, Hannah goes on to explain that the guy was also Hannah explained that said guy also “pretty,” “nice” [and has a girlfriend] “with an amazing figure.”
Taylor’s advice: “I think unrequited love is just as valid as any other kind. It’s just as crushing and just as thrilling. No matter what happens in this situation, I want you to remember that what you are doing is selfless and beautiful and kind. …. Someday you’ll find someone who loves you in that exact same way.”
…(so, in other words…)
Anyways…needless to say, Taylor Swift sent the girl off-on the road to a fresh start and healthier perspective. And somewhere in the world, a relationship can continue [without incident-thanks to Swift’s words and voice of reason that resonated with Hannah]. She replied: “You have no idea how much this means to me, thank you. You understand, and that means so much. I feel like you’re the big sister I don’t have. Thank you, I really did need to hear that from you.”
