Straight off the pages of 2014 Time Magazine’s Most Influential 100; comedian/Saturday Night Live Alum/late-night talk show host Seth Meyers, 40, has been double-tapped for his next gig: Host of the 66th Emmy Awards!
Seth Meyers has consistently been paying his dues. He’d been on SNL since 2001 before leaving the show in 2013. And other news you might not know: he’s been head writer since 2006.
Talk about degrees of separation:
NBC is usually the network home of the Emmy’s and too, is the home of Saturday Night Live. As well-it is home to Seth’s new late night talk show: Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Late Night with Seth Meyers debuted this past February 2014 after taking over Jimmy Fallon’s spot. Jimmy then took over the “Tonight Show.”
F.Y.I:
Seth will break his Emmy cherry on August 25, 2014.
The live telecast will air straight from the cherry-red carpet of the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Be there or be air!
