I heard somewhere before, it being said: “at some point, the pink elephant in the room takes a sh/t.”
Point taken…
…because in the upcoming Aaliyah biopic “Aaliyah: The Princess of R & B” (starring Disney star: Zendaya Coleman as Aaliyah), reports are surfacing that producers of the film will indeed include what inquiring minds wanted to know about [despite the curiosities and questions being as swept under the rug as the scandal itself came, and went] about (a then), 15 year-old Aaliyah’s alleged marriage to mentor and R & B king, singer: R. Kelly-then: 27.
The 1994 scandal alleged that Kelly secretly wed Aaliyah. Soon thereafter, a marriage certificate surfaced showing Aaliyah’s age falsely changed to the legal age of 18.
The marriage was rumored to have been annulled, immediately, by Aaliyah’s parents upon finding out about it.
The biopic’s executive producer: Debra Martin-Chase told New York Post’s Page Six:
“Aaliyah’s personal and professional relationship with R. Kelly will be explored with care in the film as we set out to depict her life with the utmost respect. Above all else, it’s our hope to inspire an entirely new generation with her music and larger-than life talent.”

According to sources, the film will chronicle the late singer’s life from around age 10 through to age 22: the time of her untimely 2001 death in a plane crash, along with these
8 others-on route to the Cessna that killed she and them, following wrapping for her video: “Rock the Boat.”

The accident sent shockwaves throughout the world of entertainment and through today, she is terribly missed by fans, family, and others that were very close to her. Aaliyah would have been 35 years-old.
