It’s Jannnnnnnnnnn-u-ary and you know what that means…
Okay, at this point in the game, January just needs to be renamed “Idol-ary,” because one of America’s most popular shows, at the most popular time in each season’s history is January. It goes down on Idol in January.
Guess who’s back?
That’s what’s up.
Although we enjoyed our season of MarNikki-Gate; JLo (after a season away, touring, boo’d up with Casper, and mommy duties); is back–and taking her seat back on the judge’s panel.
“That was such a transformative year for me in so many ways. I had just divorced, I went on tour with the kids, and I left Idol. All my security blankets were gone, and I was out there doing something I had never done before,” JLo explained however, she had a pretty solid support system: Her mother and her loyal handsome, protective boyfriend Casper Smart who JLo adores and says is “fantastic” with her five year-old twins Emmie and Max.
Jennifer goes on to explain: “I was surrounded by love and family. I really grew. My goal was not to come out the other side and just survive it but grow as a human being as well as an artist, and I felt I did. I learned a lot.”
A lot of self-reflecting and honesty took place during this transformative time that JLo speaks of, having been surrounded by love and support during her most vulnerable time of having all her security blankets pulled from over her [the divorce, uprooting the kids from home to be on the road her, and leaving idol].
She candidly admits: “I’m one of those people who does not like to be alone. I have no shame saying that at this point in my life. I think we have to own who we are.”
There you have it.
Coming from one of the most revered,
…………………………………………………………………….. (lusted)
…successful, busy, and multi talented entertainers and businesswomen in the industry, if JLo can admit it-we sure can follow suit or be okay with a little self-honesty and reflection.
She also admits however, although she loves love and hates being alone, the once, twice, three times a married man’s lady can admit that marriage is a whole other thing-one which she is can truthfully admit may [or may not] be in the stars for she and Casper.
She expressed (when asked if she would like to get married for a fourth time): “I don’t know. We’ll see. I don’t know. You know, I’ve always believed in that institution. I believe in it, but it is difficult. I’ve had my challenges, but at the same time I believe in love, and I think that is the main thing.”
Well, we at Other Side of the Fame love JLo and look forward to this season of American Idol and having her back doing something else that she loves.
Speaking of which, let’s show JLo some love on her new single “Same Girl.”
Enjoy the teaser why don’t you:
And mark your calendars for tomorrow (January 15) because she will be BACK in the judge’s seat, rather than live on stage—instead, making someone else’s dream come true of doing just that.
