Will Smith has long moved on to bigger big-screen things and long since, left his music career behind.
The multi-platinum rapper and formerly known sitcom actor [named Fresh Prince] hasn’t released music since 2005’s Lost and Found.
Although Will, will peek out his head for an occasional “Carlton Dance” moment that became so famous that, even when he turns old and grey-as long as he can stand; he’ll owe us that dance.
Having turned over the talent for music to his precocious and talented children Jaden and Willow, Will Smith, too busy with blockbusters and such, has shown no interest in rejoining this new age turn of music.
But it took Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show to bring it out of him though as, yesterday the talk show host (slash) comedian and his guest (slash) actor and former multi-platinum rapper surprised us all with some beat boxing via Rob Base and (the late) DJ EZ Rock’s rendition of the ever-popular “It Takes Two.”
“You’re a famous rapper, and I’m a classically trained beatboxer, so I want to try something fun with you here,” Fallon tells Smith.
LoL.
So using the iPad app (that layers and loops vocal tracks) Smith and Fallon built the song, and with help from the Roots (band) the magic happened.
It’s amazzzzzzing how it came together!
I mean…HOT!
Scroll up to the big screen and check it out for yourself!
The creation of music is amazing.
