Mystery solved…where in the world has Freddie Prinze Jr. been?
Well, we’ll start by saying this: “Hell Hath No Fury Like An Actor Scorned.”
The She’s All That and I Know What You Did Last Summer actor has since moved on from those roles that added to his popularity however, in true high-school style, Prinze Jr. elected not to leave the past behind.
Well, depending on what you would consider “past” to be in years [or…dogg-ed years], Freddie could care less; he had something he wanted to get off his chest apparently (while at Comic-Con this past weekend promoting his Disney X D series Star Wars and Rebels…ironically and appropriate named as per this blog).
Prinze Jr. told ABC News that after working with Kiefer Sutherland on the popular hit series 24, he nearly quit acting altogether. “I did 24, it was terrible. I hated every moment of it. I just wanted to quit the business after that. So, I just sort of stopped.”
He went on to explain: “Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That’s not me talking trash, I’d say it to his face. I think everyone that’s worked with him has said that.”
Prinze drilled: “I went and worked for Vince McMahon at the WWE, for Christ’s sake … but, at least he was cool and tall. I didn’t have to take my shoes off to do scenes with him, which they made me do [at 24]. Just put the guy on an apple box or don’t hire me next time. You know I’m 6 feet and he’s 5’4!,” he quipped. (For the record let us put it on record that Sutherland is around 5’9″).
Well, all this built up tension that Prinze Jr. unleashed released is new news to Sutherland. His rep tells People Magazine [the actor-Sutherland] “had no knowledge of Prinze’s ire”
[Quote] “Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze Jr. more than five years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie’s grievances. Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best” [unquote]
