As the big Mayweather-Pacquaio fight and festivities finessed their way upon us, seeping across the world wide web were never been seen before police reports released in an effort to show the world what a “monster” Floyd Mayweather was [as if any of that-no matter how damaging was going to be damaging enough to thwart people’s plans and bets on the fight].
Well as you may well know, the show went on and despite the fight not living up to the hyped, the fact of the matter is: both fighters got paid and Mayweather is expected to pay out.
At the time of the incidents, the woman and alleged victim (Josie Harris) may have changed her tune (which afforded Mayweather not to be forced to stand trial for the things she alleged); now she is alleging that the statements he made during his recent interview with Katie Couric were defaming and humiliating-and as a result; is filing a 20 million dollar lawsuit again the fighter.
In the interview with Couric (aired about two weeks ago) Mayweather told Couric that all he did was restrain Harris-who he said was high on drugs.
Harris is claiming that she was embarrassed on a global scale and is currently seeking damages for the damage caused.
As per her lawyer (Dan Friedlander) regarding what Floyd said to Katie Couric, he explained [they/was he said was] “knowingly fabricated in order to hype Mayweather’s upcoming fight with Pacquiao to avoid bad press by deflecting responsibility for beating the mother of his children.”
