FLOTUS' 50th B-Day Shin Dig: B.Y.O.F.S (Bring Your Own Full Stomach) & Dancing Shoes. We'll Bring The BEYONCE

As you may well know, on January 17^th First Lady Michelle Obama turned 50, and about a week before turning the big 5.0, we reported to you that she spent about a week tucked away at Oprah Winfrey’s compound in Hawaii where at first the town was very excited to know that such a high profile person was in town. But after a couple of days the FLOTUS’ welcome was good and worn out with the residents there as, she literally shut the city down with her presence (that obviously being the President’s wife), required an excessive amount of security overhead, around the entire vicinity and through the parameters sounding Winfrey’s compound which impaired daily family, business and personal businesses ability to run as normal and efficiently.

We don’t know if Lady O was all partied out and couldn’t cancel because the ink was already dry on the invites sent out for the festivities for her White House party [which although her birthday was on Friday the 17th, the party was on Saturday the 18^th], but either way, the show went on, somewhat.

Although the FLOTUS spent a large part of her big day largely out of sight, she did post on Twitter: a pic of her holding onto her AARP card

BYOFS: Bring Your Own Full Stomach

Via invitation (that went out at the beginning of the month and New Year), it is being reported that President Obama told guest to come prepared to dance. Rumors were abuzz that Beyonce was supposed to perform at this shin dig billed as a “Snacks & Sips & Dancing & Desert” Party” which was literally just that: a “Snacks & Sips & Dancing & Desert,” party.

Of course this information leaked out to event experts Colin Cowie and Andre Wells who insisted ‘To ask people to eat before you come’ is not the way they would have done it (expressed Cowie). “I always think of the food when it comes to making people feel welcome. We give them great music, a well-stocked bar and excellent food—and you do it abundantly,” he finished.

Despite the raised eyebrows, and no pic proof or video of Beyonce actually having performed; from the looks of the pics, the celebrities that showed up seemed to be having a very nice time.

(We do hear however, that Beyonce did indeed perform and as well, gospel star: Ledisi).
