Is the sister of Bryshere Gray (of Empire) trying to tell us something, God?
The sister of the popular television network’s rising star and rapper “YazzTheGreatest” posted “Just miss these days, my brother isn’t the same @YazzTheGreatest”

We’re assuming there is one (or two) sides to that statement and story.
But for those who didn’t know, the YazzTheGreatest’s character was kinda built in to the show as, he had built his own buzz (as a rapper) years before auditioning for the part of “Hakeem Lyons,” the rapper/brother (on the show), and says that before the show, he was just an average kid with a dream to be something great.
“I now have my own tour bus and before I used to stand outside and dream about having one and now I have one,” Gray said.
“I’m very appreciative of the response people are giving. You know, people are saying they love the show, they love the show, they love the music and they’re feeling very inspired from the show.”
He continued, “When I was 16 years old, me and my mom would pack up our small Camry car and we would drive to like Michigan, Wisconsin and stuff like that. I would go and perform for high schools for free.”
While on the road, he was introduced to a manager who suggested Gray audition for the role. But seeing as though he was a rapper and not an actor, Gray was hesitant—at first:
“I didn’t want to do Empire because I wasn’t an actor. I just got signed and I was worried about my music. I’m recording an album and I was like ‘Should I do this audition?’ and he was like, ‘Yes, you should do it because it may change your situation.’ ”
Un-pause.
Fast forward.
Gray sent the audition tape (of the scene where he was beat by the matriarch-“Cookie Lyons”) and that next morning, his life changed.
