anything goes—no matter how offensive. From pageantry to politics, it’s ‘publicity’ at all costs and expenses and is the name of all games.
Needless to say, the Miss Universe organization offered their apology yet, support of Hay- ending with their ‘looking forward to’ “supporting her continued growth.”
Either way, who cares.
Let’s be real here. Besides for the contestants and want to be’s concerned, ultimately, pageantry is crowned as being as useless and redundant an American tradition that by end show we care nothing about anyways.
It seems as though no one but Vanessa Williams was ever truly successful and did something real in life after those things anyways…(then of course Vanessa Williams really does have REAL talent and skill, so, there’s that on that).
So let’s look on the bright side. Everybody cleans up their act and suddenly becomes a new and different person as they latch on to something rewarding or real to do, or there is a literal reward for doing so.
Karlie Hay got the reward so let’s just sit back and wait on her real talent and skill.
