Sometimes in order to find your center and new space, you just have to remove yourself from your (usual) element, especially if there is too much noise and goings on going on there.
If anybody is proof of that right now, it’s Chris Brown.
We needn’t re-hash his woes from 2008 through 2013 that were direct and underlying reasons for his being [in the facility where he is today], but he’s certainly made some strides beginning November 2013-to date-that is worthy of a hip hop hooray!
Brown’s being admitted to the treatment facility this past November is proving to be one of the positive lights shining in the stars life right now-in a long time.
Although he entered with a bit of rebelliousness, his eventual willingness to cooperate is serving him well-which obviously created a domino effect as he paid it forward on Sunday.
On his first outing since being in the facility, Brown took to Brooklyn Projects Melrose in Los Angeles yesterday where he met, hugged, smiled, and posed for pictures with his fans for the toy drive in a successful effort to give and make a happy holidays for underprivileged children. Rapper Tyga and comedian Kevin Hart shared in the fun as well.
One of the provisions of being in the facility included Brown’s agreement in giving up the Internet so that he could be intensely focused on the curriculum and team-building exercises by which the facilitators all reported his participation in the weekly, 12-hour ropes course to enhance his team building skills had improved tremendously.
If pictures are really worth a thousand words, then these pictures are proof of what the value of taking some time to be out of his (usual) element is doing for him.
He’s looks to be happy, healthy, and smiling in ways like we haven’t seen him in a while-and looked to be having fun at the toy drive versus it looking like something he had to do.
And may we take note of something else? There must have been was a trade off for his full cooperation and progress because Chris Brown was obviously let at his Internet to tweet the following:
Thank you to all the fans who brought gifts for the kids today. Have a wonderful holiday. You've made a merry Christmas for a young child!
