The talented rap artist, known for antagonizing others in the industry whom she deems [as being] sellouts [or for] selling their souls for attention, money, or fame—(or antagonizing over misunderstandings like her recent one with Erykah Badu), expressed that she is having a hard and hurtful being darkskinned.
From reading the tweets, (this time) it doesn’t seem like she is complaining about her position in the industry (as a result of her being darkskinned) but rather, what she thought men “in general” felt about dark skinned women, expressing [quote]:
Seriously…the treatment I get for being a dark skinned woman just makes me want to lay down and die sometime.”
