We’ve got the answers!
If you remember, our girl Angelina Jolie was seen in still life [giving what had been referred to as] “the death stare” to Sony president Amy Pascal when, after the big Sony email hacking scandal leaked emails of Pascal having been thumb thugging it out with colleague Scott Rudin, while doing, Jolie’s name was mentioned in context as having been said about [quote] “I’m not destroying my career over a minimally talented spoiled brat who thought nothing of shoving this off her plate for eighteen months so she could go direct a movie,” (Rudin said to Pascal in the email–as said to be about Angelina bypassing the “Cleopatra” project to instead, direct the war drama “Unbroken”).
It went on to read:
“She’s a camp event and a celebrity and that’s all and the last thing anybody needs is to make a giant bomb with her that any fool could see coming. We will end up being the laughing stock of our industry and we will deserve it, which is so clearly where this is headed that I cannot believe we are still wasting our time with it,” he said.
Well in a New York Times interview (published today) regarding her new self-directed and self-written movie called “By The Sea” (co-starring her husband Brad Pitt), over a year later, we finally got the thousand words [mis-read?] from the picture of she and Pascal.
Despite the obvious unwelcoming body language oozing from her eyes, stance and hands, Angie (diplomatically) explains:
“There are certain things that bother me and certain things that don’t. Personal attacks on me? I think I’m just so used to it. Honestly, my first instinct was that I was worried about Amy. I had someone call her and ask if she was O.K. Not because I’m a saint, but because I think we have to look at the bigger picture. She’s got kids. I knew it was going to unravel for her,” she said.
Look. Just like Gemini Kanye (atop OSF’s big screen questioning the answers there)-Angelina Jolie is a Gemini-father of communication (miscommunication) and transmission. What something said or done one moment could mean something different all the next with them. Furthermore, its like my mom always said: “Ya can’t squeeze blood from a turnip”…and if [regardless the death stare photo gone viral and seen all across the media] Angie (in so many words) says that “death stare” was actually a breath of lie life, we’re going to have to dead the issue and laughs about the stare going forward because we finally got answers.
As far as when she and Brad’s new movie comes out, (as mentioned in my write up about it some months ago), it’ll open at the AFI festival tomorrow and a limited release on November 13 (to select theaters).
