Well, every year following the Met Gala Ball, Vogue picks the cover for its next issue to be adorned with someone(s) who attended the fancy soiree.

Last year, a photo op taken of Rihanna and Beyonce made the 2014 cover following the event.

This year, Anna Wintour’s girl (Rihanna) stands alone-in all rockin’ Robyn’s bird-yellow Rihomellete splendor, in the dress by Guo Pei that made headlines:

…and although was the embryo of jokes on Internet, it made quite the statement in more ways this one (as delegated by Anna Wintour).

This cover is among the many Rihanna has graced the pages of during her greatly anticipated album R8 which, rumor has it—she is still working on in the meantime and between time gracing covers of many-a-covers.

For all the fans who’ve waited at the edge of their seats on Rihanna to collab with Drake again, dreams may come true. Reportedly, the pop princess is said to be working on another hit with the chart-topping rapper as, the two were seen on the scene partying together in New York after having come from the recording studio.

Ever since the Met Gala last week, NYC has been Rihanna’s stomping ground as she too, is preparing for her big night on SNL scheduled to air (as we relayed to you) on Saturday, May 16.
