Supermodel Naomi Campbell stopped by The Meredith Vieira Show to talk fashion and modeling.
Curious, Vieria inquired about how Naomi feels regarding the new generation of ‘social media models’–dubbed by Vogue [as] “Instagirls” :girls whose buzz and publicity are mostly generated from social media shenanigans and citings (versus traditional ways of hard work and grind before social media).
Naomi Campbell has never been one to hold her tongue, (her cell phone throw) or her swing.
That being said, it’s no wonder she would leave no stone unturned (or thrown) with insinuations and whatnot-wondering exactly what and who she’s talking about [when giving her opinion about these “Instagirls” versus. the models she came in the game with: Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista etc.]
So before you (self-proclaimed) Instagram “models” of the Internet read into this the wrong way-know this: it is not you gals she’s speaking about. She’ speaking of Vogue‘s definition of Instagirls e.g.,: Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, and the Joan Smalls of the “Insta-modeling” craze.
I’ll let Naomi explain it to you atop the OSF big screen.
Meanwhile check out some snaps of the the bronze beauty closing LePerla’s lingerie’s Atelier show at Paris Haute Couture just yesterday (for Paris Fashion Week!)
