For a charitable initiative, to celebrate its newest flagship on Madison Avenue in New York; Italian designer Fendi has double-tapped an impressive roster of celebrities and fashionistas including model Jourdan Dunn, actress Sarah Jessica Parker, and singer Rihanna by asking them to create their own 3Baguette handbag as inspired by Fendi’s 3Bagueete handbag they launched last year (a more structured shaped Fendi bag with an ‘FF’ logo lock).
Hosted by Karl Lagerfeld, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and Fendi chair/CEO Pietro Beccari; the newly celeb-created 3Baguette handbag styles will be unveiled at an exclusive cocktail party at the store on February 13 through March 13 and available for retail via auction site: (which will launch later this month).
Each celeb and fashionista invited to participate in this project gets to pick their own charity they want to be in receipt of the proceeds [from the sell of their handbags they create].
Rihanna’s: In honor of her grandparents and founded in 2012; The Clara Lionel Foundation
Sarah Jessica Parker’s: The Brain Trauma Foundation
Jourdan Dunn’s: The Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.
This isn’t the first time Fendi launched a project like such.
Last year, when debuting their new London flagship, they partnered up with Tracey Emin, Gwyneth Paltrow, Zaha Hadid, Adele, Jerry Hall and more.
They re-created Fendi’s bespoke Peekaboo handbag (which helped raise money for the London and Bristol-based Kids Co.).
