Mark your calendars for mid-May: Michael’s moon walking back to music.
Sony and Epic Records announced on Monday that they will be releasing an album called “XSCAPE”-with unreleased music previously recorded by the King of Pop in which the likes of super-producer Timbaland will serve as lead producer responsible for retooling the sound to make it more contemporary.
Hand-selected by former “X-Factor” Judge and Epic Records CEO and Chairman L.A Reid, eight tracks were chosen out of the decades worth of music from Jackson’s archives-which Reid is excited about sharing with the world:
He explains: “Modern music and artistry would look and sound completely different if not for the groundbreaking contributions Michael Jackson gifted to the world. Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world.”
The album, which we all know will definitely be a hit countless times over, is set to hit stores on May 13.
