Dates of death (in my opinion) are hardly “celebratory” but when someone as legendary as Biggie Smalls a.k.a Notorious B.I.G makes a hit that never get old like “Life After Death” what can you do?
Celebrate!
Well if you remember, it was just last month (February 12) we brought you the story about Faith Evans in the audience of Lil’ Kim at Diddy’s All Star Weekend Concert and the Madison Square Garden Theatre where too (while enjoying Kim rock the stage) she Instagrammed a pic of Lil’ Kim doing her thing and congratulating her.
Time of the of the essence when sincerity is near and although we had yet to hear back from Kim, the celebratory / remembrance of Biggie Smalls’ d.o.d is shared by both Faith Evans and Lil’ Kim-respectively so…so what better time than a day like such to return the extended olive branch?
Lil Kim did it way big.
The Queen Bee took a moment out to drop a lil’ bit’ o honey and gone at it on Faith via Twitter in an exchange that went something like this:
P.S.
Now…as an incessant connoisseur of Biggie Smalls’ lyrics such that I could out-jeopardy you in all things “Lyrically I”: Biggie-giving you NO chance of out-doing me on it all (I promise you this) I will share this with yous.
Yesterday, it took all the self-control I could muster to hold back not letting you (the world) into my world–something that I do at least ONCE a day: Sit and re-enact my favorite interlude and conversation of Biggie and Lil Cease before “Nasty.”
Like. Please do not eff with me on this because I got it down to the breath, syllable, giggle, and facial expression as my mind watches this conversation between he and Cease.
Well since I’m a lil’ busy right now, what I’ll do is let Biggie do him (and too, as a warning: If you’re easily offended. Bounce now).
All others, enjoy + rock out to one of my [too many] Biggie favs “Nasty” :
