The Oscar’s are working inviting overtime this year, seeing to it that nobody falls asleep before the end of the night’s fancy-smancy shin-dig.
Although we haven’t the entire list of performers this at this year’s Academy Awards, we do know that Pharrell [+ another hat, possibly] will take the stage and get the crowd “Happy.”
We now learn that for the very first time, our girl Pink will too, grace the stage…..
……. (or over and above it).
Oscar Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are very excited to have her: “We are very excited to welcome Pink to the Oscar stage for the very first time. She is regarded as one of the greatest voices in pop music and one of the best performers of her generation, and we are thrilled to have her join us for a highly anticipated moment on the broadcast.”
We haven’t the slightest idea what this “highly anticipated moment is,” but we do know that Pink is notorious for doing things “high” while performing, so perhaps that’s what it is. No one does it like Pink and whether she levitates and flies high above the stage or takes it, either way, it indeed will [still] be a highly anticipated moment nonetheless.
Big news!!! I'd like to thank @TheAcademy for inviting me to perform on the #Oscars on March 2nd!! #holycow

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is looking forward to whatever this “highly anticipated” ness is, but she’s coming prepared:
Big news! @Pink is performing at the #Oscars! I don't know what she has planned, but I'm bringing my safety net just in case.
