video above, obviously made her feel that she was branding herself all these years when (just like Bethenny said on the video) Omarosa is famous for being infamous, however she is not a brand (or branding herself as a brand, as she thinks and thought all these years).
Truth is (and I’m sure Bethenny would agree with me): she has branded herself infamous who, because of her infamy and fame, is well-known and can therefore promote, or sell a brand product, however she is not a “brand.”
There really is a difference.
I’m not even a brand strategist, but I am a journalist (in training on pause) and too, am very well-versed and knowledgeable about the front (illusion) and back (business) end of the entertainment industry and I’m objective and observant enough to logically conclude that Omarosa’s steps are that of infamy and not of “brand” (per se’).
Omarosa’ a very smart lady and she should evaluate that tape (above), and perhaps this blog to understand the difference.
Why?
Because as articulate and savvy as she puts out, she also has to remember how she (herself) “put out” over the years. And the common denominator + consensus of all her opponents ends up being that she’s defensive-and then she turns right around and plays right into being defensive. And while articulating herself very well, ends up missing the point to fight her fight (while being defensive).
Omarosa (in 2004) started off so sharp and so right that even I can admit that despite how heavily laced and impressive her personal-professional resume was, all of those bells and whistles wouldn’t have been edgy enough to carry her this far into the infamy she is known for and is invited back on these shows for. So at the end of the day, she did something [right?] that kept her in the game this long (no matter how neurotic, problematic and troublesome it is). Her “persona” trumped her astute personality-big time.
But what’s kept her in the game this long, is a double-edge sword because (considering her reputation and the way she did “put out” over the years-which now, makes her “infamous”); she is a target for all the people in reality television that she herself targeted or unraveled. So she has to be even more sophisticated and knowledgeable in her own
Superb post but I was wanting to know in case you could write a litte a lot more on this topic? I
