J Cole’s most recent CD was obviously a conscious effort to demonstrate his ability to put forth a completely lyrical full album minus any cameos-(the consistently norm of many-a-rap tracks today). Certainly, it paid off for him as the right ears were listening and watching-and J Cole was tapped to make a cameo on someone else’s.

Eyes-wide shut, pop queen Janet Jackson’s opened the curtains of her velvet rope and set her sights on the reclusive rap newcomer to team up with her on her recently released single “No Sl333p.”
In a video directed by her longtime friend and video director Dave Meyers (who directed her 2001 video Doesn’t Really Matter), the two teamed up for an all-nighter.
