…you inductees of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
Try getting inducted to the Library of Congress (Lauryn Hill just did).
That’s right.
As a part of a groundbreaking project of the U.S. Library of Congress, the 17 year-old multi-platinum-selling CD “The MisEducation of Lauryn Hill” was selected by the LOC’s committee who (annually) selects 25 albums or songs (referred to as “sound recordings”) to be inducted into its archives.
I guess it’s true when said any significant, lasting, and substantial success has a incubation period of about 10 years
Joan Baez and Radiohead are just a couple of other artists in line with Hill-all chosen by the committee for having met the requirements [of being]: “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and at least ten years old.
Join Other Side of the Fame in congratulating Ms. Hill!
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’s theme and premise was that of the lessons of life and love being experienced (rather than taught) –hence the cover art and Intro to the album whereby at roll call-Lauryn was absent.
Upon pressing on (and “play”), Hill takes us on a journey of learning life and love through her musical experience that, to date-remains timeless and revered.
