Nine-time Grammy winning, 1 time Oscar winning John Legend, 36, can add director/playright to his legend.
That’s right.
Directed by Legend’s friend Nabil Elderkin, the singer/songwriter will be producing an untitled musical romantic dramedy starring 29 year-old Grammy winning artist Miguel in a story about a former music one-hit wonder who took on the task of those that can’t do: teach.
Told mostly through music, the defunct artist gets a spark of inspiration while coaching an aspiring singer for a singing competition show.
Production is tentatively scheduled to begin [date unknown] but will be in Philadelphia.
In the meantime and between time CSULD students will be enjoying the handsome singer come April 10 at the Pyramid.
John, on the other hand, is all about producing and facilitating these days.
Just recently, (for charity) he and his wife Chrissy Teigen held a wedding ceremony for their two dogs Pippa and Putty.
To raise money to build a new high school auditorium in Legend’s hometown of Springfield Ohio, the crooner teamed up with Omaze for its “Show Me Campaign.”
