After the success of her debut album (Young Love) and into the slow climb of her sophomore album Dream Street, Janet became a regular fixture on the hot 80s television show Fame. And it was just that-that seemed to that seemed to keep Dream Street from being the success it very well could have been.
“Fame” seemed to own Dream Street as, several songs from the album became very much apart of the script, weekly via some scene, video, or musical number and dreams of it hitting the streets like her debut album fell: asleep.
Despite having her own dreams of going to college for entertainment law, or banking-while still under the iron fist, and tight wing of the Joseph Jackson machine multiplied by the shadows of her famous brother Michael; Janet continued to do what the Jackson’s do: perform.
