Ms. Lauren Bacall was best known for her trademark deep, husky, voice and green cat eyes, Bacall’s decorated resume goes back long enough for one to feast their eyes on in amazement: back when the pay for actresses was only a whopping $125.00 per week.
And no matter the generation, if one were to hear the name “Humphrey Bogart,” although we may not know much about her or her body of work, it’s almost second nature to say the name: Lauren Bacall (following Humphrey’s).
According to one of her family members, one of Tinseltown’s legends and finest died today at the age of 89 apparently due to a massive stroke early Tuesday, August 12, 2014 morning.
Lauren Bacall married Humphrey Bogart in 1945 until widowed by his death in 1957. In 1961 Lauren Bacall married Jason Robards in 1961, they divorced in 1969.

Born in 1924 and having made movies and film since 1944 through 1996, more recently, and despite her failing health; starring as the “Witch of the Waste,” Lauren Bacall retuned to film and television in the English-language version of Hayao Miyazaski’s Howl’s Moving Castle in 2004-a movie based on the young adult novel by Diana Wynne Jones.
Bacall is survived by 3 children and is a staple in Hollywood. She will be terribly missed.
