If it’s anybody that knows how to bring a smile out of Kanye West-it’s Ellen Degeneres.
Kanye stopped by her show, yesterday (for a segment that will air today).
He appeared to be in great spirits as he talked about possibly having more kids if, and whenever Kim does.
As well, he spoke about his past behavior that’s earned him the unique reputation he’s adorned with over the years. Interestingly, Kanye refers to it (his behavior) as his (adult) rendition of “the terrible twos.”
How cute.
Well even cuter was a segment of his visual for the song “Only One,” –a song about sang from the point of view of his late mother Donda West speaking to him through himself while he pours out the lyrics as if it is a letter he is reading from his mother who (as you listen to the song), sounds as if although she’s no longer around anymore; she still knows-full well-all that has occurred in her son only son (Kanye)’s life as she reminds [him] “tell Nori ‘bout me.” (Scroll up to the OSF big screen to see that).
Kanye quotes from the show:
‘I’ve definitely learned how to compromise more, which is something you have to understand when you partner with people in business.’
“I’ve learned how to shut up more. I think I’m a better human being because of [Kim] and because of my daughter. “
‘I have always someone to think about going home to and you know something for me to be brave for what I want to do for humanity, but also to be more protective of myself for my family too.’
‘There are things I’ve done in the past that were considered negative, but I was really jumping in front of the tank for other people or for culture in a way so now I always have to have that in my mind that I have a family that I have to protect too.’
‘I think I was going through my version of my terrible twos. My daughter, she wants to express herself and she just doesn’t have the words for it. And for me there was so many things I wanted to do with film and clothing and I just didn’t have the words or the resources or the backing or the perception that I could do it being that I was a rapper.’
Ellen expressed she could see a change in him and that he is certainly ‘calmer.’
As well, Kanye talked about his partnership with Adidas.
