Reality Star KENYA MOORE Gets a Reality Check By Actress LUPITA NYONGO

LUPITA LAX

Reality star Kenya Moore got her dose and demonstration of the clear divide that many trained, working (and even non-working) actresses (secretly) or brazenly, want “reality stars” to know:

‘You are a reality celebrity who acts, not a star whose an actress-so keep your lane.’

Reality star Kenya Moore who says she………was a big fan of actress Lupita Nyongo, is mo longer.

Despite Lupita’s Kenya-connection:

Kenyan-bred

raised in Kenya

starred in several productions in Kenya

saluted by Kenya president Kenyatta

…doesn’t mean she would necessarily have any connection (or interest) in “Kenya Moore”—of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Celebrity Apprentice.

Let’s be clear-one thing about popular culture, that, in case many of yous didn’t know. I’ll help you:

The reality show circuit has cost a lot of jobs that before, weren’t as hard to secure (since the reality show boom).

luptia gg 2015Kenya mooreAlthough “reality stars” are “celebrities” (no less than your local news, or radio anchor is), there are not really thought (or respected) as “stars” by trained actresses who, like Lupita-trained at Yale and others-at various other colleges and universities (in preparation to be where they are).

Despite the glitter, fashion, glam and “richness” you see in social media and such, reality show celebrity, as per, and in Hollywood; is like a minimum wage job (by comparison to a corporate job requiring specific degrees).

And while you shouldn’t knock any ones hustle, it (reality shows) has caused working actresses to not be able to get work. And those actresses who are working-[they] are finding it harder to get work because “work” is being produced as much and producers are getting more for their money—not having to pay for “professional” (actresses) and other behind the scenes prep work (e.g. writers etc) to produce television of today (unlike television before reality shows).

Reason:

Reality shows are MUCH cheaper to produce and pay out.

The only glitter and glam you believe you see is circulated, and publicized by you-and put in front of television cameras (therefore) made “famous”…therefore, it seems that a Kenya Moore (being invited to an event like the Golden Globes and festivities), is as equal to the Luptia’s of Hollywood as the Kerry Washington’s are [to Lupita]: colleagues-equally yoked.

No.

kenyamooreAnd believe it or not, the cost of getting a Kerry Washington or a Luptita (or even a C or D list actress) would cost aLOT more (considering all the professional, technical and production work that goes behind television) than it is to just pitch a reality show idea, get the camera crew, and put a bunch of women and men together to improvise and who are willing to turn up in ways that actresses study lines for and “act” [doing].

So obviously, a reality “star” being invited to even sit in the same room as a Lupita or a Kerry can indeed be quite the feat (at a glance and to friends and family at home).

Well, although Luptia gave no reason, Kenya Moore got quite the surprise when she stepped to Lupita Nyongo for a photo op while at a Golden Globe Awards after party this past weekend—and got a reality check
