As confirmed by Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin Anton, Kemosabe Records and RCA Records, Simone Battle from the girl group G.R.L (a U.S Pop Group started 2013 by Pussycat Dolls’ Robin Antin) has died.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”
For the record, the group was headed up UK’s Charts with their single Ugly Heart.
As for Simone, in 2011, she progressed to the live finals of and appeared on the X-Factor’s first series-performing in front of judges Simon Cowell, L.A Reid, and Paula Abdul.
As of yet, there is no reported cause of death or word from her bandmates.

UPDATE:
It is being reported that she died of an apparent suicide and her death is being investigated.
