It’s been said that when Simon Cowell a.k.a the King of Mean, and former American Idol judge gives his seal of approval-listen.
The new father of baby boy Eric, to whom he credits for having changed his life, outlook, and attitude towards life, did an interview with reporter Dan Rather and had some rather kind words and golden seals of approval for singer Beyonce.
When asked (by Rather) who are today’s best artists, Cowell confidently and securely offers Beyonce-crediting her knowledge of her [own] starpower, incredible work ethic, and even compares her to Michael Jackson [when he was in his prime].
“She’s a killer,” Simon says.

Now for the record, circa……..2011, it was reported that Simon dissed Beyonce-claiming that she was boring and has gone on record for having said:
“I find the whole Beyonce thing really mystifying. She’s not sexy, she hasn’t got a great body and she’s not a great singer.”
Well, if you wants to beat somebody’s @$$, the best way to do it is in their own neighborhood. And Beyonce did just that.
During an episode of his show the X Factor (London), a contestant by the name of Alexandra was singing Beyonce’s “Listen.”
In an impromptu moment, out came Beyonce-washed the spider out.
Down came the sun and dried up all the rain and the itsy bitsy spider change up his tune again.
After the performance Cowell was reportedly quoted as saying: “I once criticized her then met her afterwards. Boy, oh boy that was a difficult meeting. Then she came on my show about a year later in the UK and it was still obviously in her head what I said and I apologized, I was wrong. She sang better than anyone I’ve ever in my whole life. Then at one point, she looked over to me and went ‘criticize that.’ Her eyes. I’ll never forget the look.”
Simon wasn’t done changing his tune. Because as well (2011), appearing on ExtraTV with LaFace Records’ CEO L.A Reid; Simon had nothing but great things to say about Beyonce:
Obviously, this all was a case of that thing that boys (and even some girls)…-people, period-will do to you when they simply want your attention: Talk badly about you, try and shun you, to try and shut out your obvious talent and shine by lowgrading your significance simply because: They want your attention…
(laughs)…
At any rate.
Now that Beyonce is off the run and Simon has had a change of heart about life and the world, he also opened his eyes to what the world (and he) already knew about Bey.
