all the rave even through today (not to mention #1 trending here today-at this moment in time), enjoy me one of and my son’s favorite songs we play in the car. He can’t see, so any song that either is, or sounds like his name is being sang or rapped–he specifically thinks it’s for him.
So…(around the :50 – :55 second mark) when that part comes on: I’ve always yelled out to my boy (riding shotgun): “No deceiving, nu’hen else for Stephen.”
Mannnn he gets a KICK out of that! We have the best time on this (and Lady of Rage’s interlude “Some Sh|t” –where she actually says his name. That’s his girl right there. That whole CD too, won him over. He demands it be played esp “Microphone Pon Cok.” No mercy-she-gets it IN On that…and so do we).
Nelly…he got a pass with this thanks to thinking he hears his name being rapped. I giggle when I see Nelly-because of that song.
My boy is obsessed with Ice Cube, and west coast rap with FIRE and the voices of QTip and Busta.
It’s crazy.
