With torrential downpours going on in the life Robin Thicke, and even despite rumors flying around that his ex Paula Patton is moving on with another guy, we don’t quite know when, (or if) he is ever going to redeem his reincheck on he and Katie Holmes’ tentative plans to go out on a date, but Katie was spotted out shopping for Halloween goods with her daughter Suri (and another kid Suri’s age) this weekend while in California.
Although this time last year…
…things looked a lot different for Robin.
This year, although at the same spot but under a different set of circumstances; still though-all smiles and fresh off this past Friday’s divorce party, Robin was spotted out with Julian at Mr. Bones’ Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood (in California),
without Paula, who we just told you about, is in New York right now (all smiles, too).
Although it seems pumpkin patching would have been an ideal, innocent, low-pressure date with nothing too heavy for Robin and Katie, it didn’t quite work out like that, but hey, maybe another time-perhaps they’ll meet up with the kids and carve pumpkins over conversation, pumpkin seed baking and nutmeg shaking.

Suri’s still sprouting up like soap opera children we see [where on Monday they may be newborns and by Friday-they’re already five years-old].
Provided Robin didn’t curve Katie, we’ll keep you posted should we hear of any conscious coupling via their kid’s pumpkin carving party or should Katie go grocery shopping to cook up a lil’ bite to eat to rock with Robin.
