On ‘Decision-Making’ : Are You Making Emotional Suicide Decisions or Making Decisions To Be ‘Alive’ Going Forward – A Personal ‘TED Talk’

A part of life is making decisions big and small that may, or may not affect our lives and the people around us in a big way-but wither way, decisions have to be made…we can’t avoid them and can straddle fences only but for so long.

Life won’t permit the sit

The important thing (for me) with regard to making a decision is first and foremost: deciding who, and what the decision is for.

Are you making a decision that in a big way will cause a ripple effect and response simply because you needed to feel what the outcome would be (to your emotional satisfaction)…or was the decision (as a whole) a decision for you and you only (with no head fantasies of how it would play out to those affected by your decision)?

To me…that’s key.Decision

Extrinsic motivation:

when we are motivated to perform a behavior or engage in an activity to earn a reward or avoid punishment.

Intrinsic motivation:

involves engaging in behavior because it is personally rewarding; essentially, performing an activity for its own sake rather than the desire for some external reward.

 

Like emotional suicide.
