North Carolina Gifted Its First Anti LGBT Billboard – Courtesy of PLANTING PEACE

Whatever it meant *shrugs shoulders …When we were kids, there used to be a jump rope song we’d sing that went: “I don’t want to go to Mexico no more, more, more. There’s a big fat policeman at the door, door, door. He’ll grab you by the collar. Make you pay a dollar. I don’t want to go to Mexico no more, more more.”

North Carolina hateWell such is life this millennium with something else to greet you at the door, door, door—when you cross the North Carolina/South Carolina border: a great big sign displaying the state’s support of HB2 (House Bill 2) signed and made law on March 23 (2016)

[quote]

bans employers and businesses from discriminating against employees or customers based on their race, color, country of origin, religion, age or ‘biological sex.’ The bill offers no protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, and prevents local governments from passing any nondiscrimination policy that goes beyond the statewide standard.

[end quote]

Although the state passed the law (and like any other cowardly act), persons that’ll take [the discriminating] action on the bill at the most inconvenient time will most probably do it on the low (just like cowards do) where we’ll probably have to wait to get reports of the law being practiced on certain persons across social media timelines.

Well non profit organization, Planting Peace, is meeting things head on.

They took a stance to put it on high by paying monies for the billboard-near Hendersonville, North Carolina with a situation-appropriate quick quip plastered all across the board reading:

“Welcome to | North Carolina | Due To Our Stance On LGBT Rights | Please Set Your Clock Back 100 Years”

LoL.

Hey. Freedom of Speech / Freedom of Press trumps all eh?
