Well in Mariah Carey’s new Match.com profile, she does admit she is a “social drinker” but let her estranged brother Morgan tell it-she’s headed in the same direction as her reported rival: Whitney Houston.
According to her brother Morgan who, according to him, hasn’t seen or heard from Mariah in two years-he alleges that she is struggling with addiction to pain killers, anti-depressants and prescription meds: Zyprexa and Ativan (as a result of her very public 2001 breakdown during/after split with record exec Tommy Mottola).
Additionally, he claims that Mariah’s “social” drinking even extended through and after her pregnancy and while nursing:
“Mariah was drinking through her pregnancy — even while she was nursing,” says Morgan.
Morgan asserts that his not communicating with Mariah, 45, was because she pushed away the people who were trustworthy-yet alleges Nick Cannon, 34, was in it to use the cougar from the start:
“Nick listened to people who said, ‘Get with Mariah, she thinks you’re cute, have kids and ride it to the bank. Nick was there for the cash from day one. He doesn’t give a damn about Mariah.”
During the couples public split gone private, it was reported that Nick Cannon, himself, was concerned about Carey’s mental stability, too.
Whether or not Nick (or even Morgan) have come to conclude such damaging things about Mariah stems from it being noted that she did have a very public emotional breakdown or no-remains to be seen, found, or unfounded. Because that can happen too. People can “build” a [who] “You” are (to the world and other people) based on droplets of your “once upon a time” and what’s out there about you presently, or in the past, so..
