Here of late, looking like she’s been bitten by the fashion fairy, our girl Katie Holmes is out and about this week promoting her new movie Miss Meadows-looking edgier than she’s ever looked!
It could be a conscious fashion choice or [it] could very well be that she’s still inspired by, and in character of [her character: Miss Meadows]-which, according to reports, is supposed to be about a school teacher turned gun-toting vigilante.
With an almost smokey-eye, dressed in a white, A-lined Zac Posen dress and biker jacket with her hair in a stylishly twisted up in a bed-head bun while at the New York red-carpet screening of the movie this week at Cinema Society, Katie told Us: “Well, this was a challenging role because she slowly reveals why she’s doing what she’s doing. In that sense I approached it like: ‘Yeah, that’s the right thing to do.’ Obviously, carrying a pistol in your purse is not the right thing to do.”
Sounds like one of my favs (that I can still watch over and over: Geena Davis as “Charlie Baltimore” in The Long Kiss Goodnight. I loved, and was obsessed with that movie!)
Ok, ok, you get it. Pardon my zeal. I LOVED that movie (and movies like that-with women bad a$$es!)
Ok so, back to Katie:
While her tresses hang cute, plain, and natural; we’re gonna pass on that 80s sweater Katie wore this week while appearing at the Apple Store in Soho NYC this week for a Q&A talking about her former Dawson’s Creek cast mates [Michelle Williams, Joshua Jackson, and James Van Der Beek],
…she made up for it, mixing that awesome biker jacket with a pair of jeans and a black turtle-neck: that (any year, any time, any era) fail-safe outfit for any girl about town and on the go who wants to look stylish, sexy, but simple with it.
Holmes was spotted in New York city with her Ray Ban’s on, carrying her black leather handbag and wearing riding boots with the stylish digs.
She appeared on David Letterman last week where she explained this year-she would be hosting and making her first ever Thanksgiving turkey (using her mother’s recipe).
See it atop the OSF big screen!
