GIORGIO ARMANI Rebuts MADONNA’s Explanation Citing a Default in Design of the Cape Made by Him As Reason for Her BRIT AWARDS Tumble

Well as you know (less than a week ago) the Brit Awards went down and while there were some exciting goings on and performances, most memorable for all of social media was the sight of Madonna going down, too: backwards-down a flight of steps as prop.

Plop she went.

Nothing, not even a bull…nothing but a Sean Penn could ever tame the matador in Madonna, so a likkle short flight of stairs had nothing on her.

She got right back up and like the pro she is-the show went on.

Hours into the night however, Madonna took to her social media account and explained:

Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I’m fine! ❤️#livingforlove

…she didn’t mean any harm or to add literal insult to her injury but turns out-the designer to the cape took offense to her explanation.

madonna-cape-brit-awards-fall-02272015You see…what-had happened was: Her cape was supposed to be loosened such that when her dancer went to pull the cape-it was supposed to come easily undone but that didn’t happen. So when the dancer pulled it backwards, Madonna came with it.

While at the Emporio Armani Show at Milan Fashion Week, the famed designer suggested the accident was all Madonna’s fault-not his-and according to him, Madonna’s request to change the cape’s closing is what sent her tumbling down. He stated [quote]

“Madonna, as we know, is very difficult. This cape had a hook and she wanted a tie. And she wasn’t able to open it with her hands. That’s all there is to it.”
