It’s Not Right But It’s Okay.
More than that being just another title of a Whitney song, I know that’s what many of you think about the relationship between Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina, 20, and Nick Gordon. Prior to Whitney’s death in 2012; Gordon was (informally) adopted by the Houston family when he was 12 years-old and the public is having a hard time separating the fact that they are not blood related and literal/biological brother and sisters. But who am I to judge………………………………. the people who don’t get that?
Anyways.
In October 2012 (during their reality show sneak peek), Brown first announced that she and Gordon were engaged. It started a social media hailstorm with careless whispers flying about, about how disgusting it was that Bobbi Kristina would be romantic with her brother. Additionally, Kristina’s family members were not in favor of the relationship. Their engagement was called off one month after [Bobbi Kristina] having announced it.
In July of 2013, via Facebook, Bobbi Kristina announced that their engagement was back on, followed by clarification of the circumstances behind their relationship [for our information]: “Yes, me and Nick are engaged. I’m tired of hearing people say: ‘Ewww you’re engaged to your brother,’ or if Whitney was alive, would we be together or would she approve of this.”
She continued: “Let me clear up something: We aren’t even real brother and sister, nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him. In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating.”
On January 9th 2014, Bobbi Kristina posted, letting the world know that she was “Happily Married” and “So in love,” and stated: “if you didn’t get it the first time that is” [she then then provided pics of she and her new hubby’s ring fingers]
She also wanted to put us on notice that she would be sharing other news
