BackToBack: DRAKE’s MEEK MILL Diss Song For SERENA’s NYFW Runway Music? Should We Trust His Affections This Second Time Around Or No?

music to premier her digs during the week’s big fashion shin dig.

Low and behold, reportedly, the rapper used the opportunity to give his popular Meek Mill diss track another whirl—as the music for premiering Serena’s fashion line. Needless to say, although he won that battle and that war with Meek on the social media stage, the record was not a win on the catwalk…

Page Six reports:

Sitting front-row with Anna Wintor, Gigi Hadid, and Lily Aldridge at Williams’ show Tuesday, Drake seemed more concerned with the show’s soundtrack, which used his songs, including “Back to Back,” which played during the finale.

Following the show, Drake first went backstage to congratulate Williams, where he was seen kissing her hand. Then, “All of a sudden he came busting out from the backstage into the runway area and approached the DJ,” says a spy. “There was an animated discussion and Drake was upset,” the witness continued. ”The DJ kept raising his arms as if to say, ‘It wasn’t my fault.’”

We hear Drake — who was blamed by angry tennis fans for distracting Williams, causing her to lose her semifinal to Roberta Vinci and missing out on Grand Slam history — was upset because the wrong music mix was played during the show. Sources said the version of his “Back to Back” was supposed to be a clean edit, but the cut mistakenly played was packed with curse words and went out live to HSN viewers.

Now before we proceed, we’re gonna clap for Drake with his hanging a&&. At least he didn’t cut right out on Serena when she lost the U.S Open-which thwarted her chance to make history after 27 years.

Although we’re going to give Drake some cool points for his face being in the place a few times along Serena’s US Open climb to break a 27 year/Grand Slam record, the fact of the matter is: No-she shouldn’t allow him in her space like such this time around until he’s shown, proven and earns it. At this point, (especially since neither’s career is mostly off a need for publicity) that should be his privilege: EARNED.

Right before he pulled out on Serena the last time, he was all-in just the same:

Dressed in sportswear and on the court with racquet in hand-and being the doting boyfriend (again, before he pulled his next move and cut out only to be in public and across blogs with his “video ho”).

That being the case, should we buy his affections, support, and face in the place this time around?

No.

Why not?

Because if Serena’s smart (or any girl for that matter in a situation like this), this is what you do (and don’t do):

If (for whatever reason you take a man back after his breaking your heart) what you DON’T do is allow him to court you from, and sitting in the same positions and ways he courted you the first time around.

Now given the fact that Serena and Drake are both celebrities, it’s not going to be too many places they can go without being seen, but things like:
