In the competitive world of the music industry when you’ve got two people (or egos-the choice to call it that is subjective) who are in the same genre and have the same target audience all can be well from the distances but when the two are brought together for any given/necessary reason-they can indeed collide (especially when—well egos come into play).
In all fairness, it doesn’t have to necessarily be “egos” it sometimes can all boil down to a matter of respect: the babe in the woods (no matter how talented, popular or successful) should always digress when necessary when seniority + popularity is in position to share spot perhaps-like no different than 9-5, Yo. It could always sends gums-a-bumpin’ and eyes-a-rolling when scheduling vacation time and when spring break comes near-that fogie that’s been there before you got your spot because, well.. he/she’s put in work long before you and hell..only thing to do now is -quit–have your spring break anyway. LoL.
It’s not so easy to do that when you have a career (versus a job). Just ask newcoming crooner: August Alsina who is speaking out on his beef with seasoned crooner: Trey Songz.
Rap-Up TV caught up with August Alsina who explained what the problem is between he a Trey where he explains:
“I don’t really fu(k with Trey right now. We don’t get along right now. We ain’t on the same page. He did some other sh!t and we just don’t rock. Like I tell people all the time, show me that you’re this person on day one-you should always be that person. We were supposed to have a show together and it just went left ’cause I can’t deal with n!ggas’ egos and attitudes ’cause I’m just a real n!gga comin’ through and I’m rockin’.”
Everything is everything in the land of he and Chris Brown but, not so much for he and Trey anymore.
See it for yourself:
He sounds a bit apprehensive and reluctant to speak on it (holding on to the mic with both hands and sh!t lol-just playin,’)…but in all seriousness, he sounds a lil’ hurt at the same time. Hopefully these two can work it out and be back like this again:
