Although Carly says she won’t be revealing who the other two verses are about anytime soon, we (our generation) DO know that once Janet along with Missy Elliott took it over and did her rendition of the song in 2002 after her messy divorce (pp. 11-32), she wrote Son Of A Gun You Probably Think This Song Is About You remixed from Carly’s popular hit song  (atop the OSF big screen).

Interestingly, prior to working with Carly, Janet also worked with Carly’s rival Joni Mitchell when she did her rendition of Mitchell’s “Big, Yellow Taxi/Got Til It’s Gone”!

Welp. There we have it-it’s all come full circle eh?

Mystery’s solved…
