Performance Artist MARINA ABRAMOVIC Says JAY Z Used Her

Wow. When it rains, it pours.

Seems like ever since Jay Z’s Tidal is doing what it can to stay afloat-floods and tides keep rising against the once revered and respected rapper long held in high regard…

Ok. I get it.

I went to the school of performing arts and too, studied fine, visual, and creative art.

So I know it can be kinda cool when you’re knowledgeable (or even just a tad) well-versed in art, culture and travel.

In certain circles, broadening your horizons can make your contribution to conversation such that in can sure make ya look fancy-I know.

I get that, alright?

So I’m guessing Jay Z wanted to get literal…and visual…and physical…with his song “Picasso Baby.”

Well over the past year we saw pictures of he, Blue Ivy and Beyonce painting the countries and towns red while getting their lessons in travel abroad, art, and culture-on! [didn’t we?].

Well, part of this art and cultural horizon broadening had much ado about delving into art. And about two years ago, Jay Z collaborated with performance artist Marina Abramovic for his “Picasso Baby” video shoot.

Welp. Art insulteth life and now cometh new paint a flickering:

The artist tells Spike Magazine that she would never work with the rapper again because he complete used her, stating:

“There was one reason [I agreed to work with Jay Z] that I can’t talk about. I am very pissed by this, since he adapted my work only under one condition: That he would help my institute. Which he didn’t.”

“The day before, he came to my office and I gave him an entire power point presentation and said: okay, you can help me, because I really need help to build this thing. Then he just completely used me. And that wasn’t fair. This is very different from Lady Gaga, for example, who has done great work for me. Just by having 45 million followers, she brought all these young kids into my public.”

“And in the end it was only a one-way transaction. I will never do it again, that I can say. Never. I was really naive in this kind of world. It was really new to me, and I had no idea that this would happen. It’s so cruel, it’s incredible. I will stay away from it for sure.”

My thing is this.

If you’re gonna give up the G’s.

Give up the G’s.

…because I don’t know what to really conclude from that.

I have concluded this though. It seems as thought whatever kinks were in the Carter’s armor over these years of all their seeming perfection and untouchable-ness (and despite Jay Z’s charitable acts of kindness i.e., bailing Baltimore protesters etc.,) it’s obvious that there is also an going to be an ongoing sleuth of things coming out on Bey Z that (allegedly) occurred on the flip side of their perfect picture.

This is getting interesting-to say the least.

At any rate, here’s the entire piece:
