Saturday’s world premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart sang to 3.6 million Total Viewers, according to Nielsen Fast Cable Ratings.
Starring newcomer Lex Scott Davis as the seven-time Grammy® Award-winning R&B icon, the film also averaged 1.8 million Adults 25-54, 1.7 million Adults 18-49, 1.4 million Women 25-54 and 1.3 million Women 18-49 in its 8:00pm time period.
Moreover, Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart became cable’s number one original movie with Adults 25-54, Women 25-54 and Women 18-49 in a year since the January 2015 premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie Whitney, as well as the best among ad-supported cable with Adults 18-49 since Whitney.
Based off the singer’s memoir, Braxton, 48, served as executive producer of the film alongside her partner in song: super singer-songwriter Babyface.
Following the movie’s premiere, Beyond the Headlines: Toni Braxton drew in 2.8. million viewers which included exclusive interviews with Braxton and her family, her music family Babyface and L.A Reid, David Foster, and Unbreak My Heart’s hit maker: songwriter Diane Warren.
